Finally a well reasoned response with actual STATISTICAL DATA for Jack Thompson's insane rantings from the mainstream media.

How long before Jack sues these guys while decrying them as just "making the problem worse". Because of course, challenging the idea that the problem even exists by pointing to evidence means we just want more dead kids!

"You take that and mix it with a psychopath, a sociopath or someone suffering from mental illness and add in a dose of rage, the suggestibility is too high. And we're going to have to start dealing with that."

Yeah... except that the psychopath, sociopath, or person suffering from mental illness could... I dunno... kill people anyway? You know, without the influence of video games? The video games aren't the problem--it's the mental illness. So instead of trying to eliminate our fun, why not try and find ways to identify mental illness early on and treat it? I also still find it rather irritating that he has never attempted to make any connection between gun violence in America and video games. The only evidence to support this claim is that some video games happen to contain violence. There's nothing suggesting that Cho Seung-Hui played video games--in fact, as the article said, Jack Thompson was blaming video games before the Virginia Tech gunman was even identified. But hey, it's tragedies such as this that give scumbags like Thompson the publicity that he feeds off of. I doubt he cares if he even makes any progress in his crusade. While some people seek attention by committing violent crimes, Thompson obtains it by blaming said crimes on video games. Doesn't matter if everyone thinks he's full of shit.
I think Thompson should pursue something a little more productive, like lobbying schools to force the playground aids to stop kids who are playing Cops and Robbers and lecture them for an hour that they could become gun-wielding maniacs by doing so.

Soon enough, slides and monkey bars will probably also have to go. I don't know why, they just make me nervous. The children are learning to be violent by sliding down and crashing into a straggler at the bottom (I think we used to call that "lemon"). The monkey bars look like some kind of battle platform, on which the children can stand and duke it out while spectators at the bottom egg them on.

Don't even get me started on sandboxes, and how they teach children to hide corpses.
Jack Thompson's is just another censorship fear monger trying to sell books and stroke his ego.

Like the article said he is not the first man of his kind to do this ,People have become less receptive because they can just point out the past when such claims were made and what actual little effect they had when censorship was done.

Jack Thompson's case against Kotaku has been thrown out.

Get this, it's because the guy failed to follow the proper procedures for filing a complaint.

Why hasn't he been disbarred yet?
People have tried, people have tried...
Remember how Jack said he'd refile?

It was thrown out again... I think I get it though. He's not actually expecting to get this case into court. He's USING the rejections to build a case of him as the oppressed martyr. Or, he's just a terrible lawyer who can't do anything right.
