Well Sony finally did the sensible thing and now PS1 games that are bought in their online store can actually be played on the PS3 (which could play PS1 games off the disk already, hence the weirdness of them not having added this option sooner).

They also updated a system I actually own.

I just recently updated to customized firmware version 3.3 myself (it having only just come out, delayed only by the hacker's PSP kerploding), and this update won't hit my PSP until this one's hacked too. The thing is, the next thing I want to see them stick on the PSP, if they can squeeze it in there (and if it's done via a web page with the hyperlink added as an option, much like the instruction manuel option they've added, they'd have the room) is a way to access the PS3 store on the PSP, so people without a PS3, like me, can actually buy and download those games directly. Mind you, I'm in no hurry since I can copy the games I own and there's yet to be any games on their store that interest me, but it's a logical step. Along with the store, the online system on the PS3 could be used on the PSP as well, so future PSP online games will share the same online network as the PS3 and so on, friends lists and everything right there.

At this point, aside from further improving the PS1 game emulator (adding the texture smoothing option to go with the fast loading option they finally put in the emulator comes to mind, also further compatibility), the playstation network features are all I need added to the PSP. Oh, I really don't expect them to ever fit "Home" into that flash firmware nor is that really something all that important to me when compaired to the friends list and access to the download store. I mean, I suppose if they felt like it they could actually let you download home as an application on the memory stick (taking up a big chunk of memory perhaps) from that online store of their's.

Anyway, it's the big thing Sony needs to add to the PSP next. I'd download it the very MOMENT they released it... and then wait for the patch program from the hacker supreme so I would have an even better version :D.
