Japan: 88,000
US: 200,000

By the end of the year: EA expects Sony will have shipped 500-800,000.

... does Sony WANT to lose or something? Well they seem to be trying... :)
What a disasterton.
Well, the systems still sold out, so apparently at least that many people wanted them.
Chuckle

Well that is true at least... but yeah, disaster.
Well I mean it happened so quickly that it does at least say a lot of people want the system simply because it's a Playstation (couldn't be the games, I've seen nothing on it as of right now that's really all that great).
At this point I don't care who wins I just want Sony to lose.
With a $250 loss on every unit sold and a miniscule launch, Sony seems to want to lose too!

(their only saving grace: in Europe, they lose less than $10 a system... between the huge European Markup and favorable exchange rates ($750 US and up for a PS3 there, fun fun!), that will make Sony happy...)
Haha, but they haven't even started selling the console in Europe yet so they won't get the benefit of the exchange rate until next year.

Or because it's simply the "next big thing".
Horrible frightening demon child head is in Japan too?!
