Nobody has posted in Ramble City in three days.

Such was never so before.

Verily, la mort d'Tendo City is at hand.

Is it so, thus?
TC is definitely in very bad shape, can't argue that one at all...
It's been in a slow downward spiral since OB1 left.

Although some would argue that the quality of posts has risen somewhat...

Sort of. The first line sounds sorta like "I haven't had any sex since my dog died."

If OB1's ability to wage wars in a dozen topics at once was the only reason this board ever got posts, then he was really only delaying the inevitable, wasn't he?
Possibly, but that doesn't mean we should just give up and let the site die or something... :(

I've resorted to posting at GAF in part because of how pitiful this place has become... I wish I could spend more time here, but with no one posting most of the time I can't for now... :(
:(
I'm working on getting connected at my new place, when I do I'll be back to posting regularly again! My absence is not for lack of wanting to post and read!
TC will never truly completely be dead. We will not allow it!

No. Lack of posts > millions of posts of insignificant arguments.
It was already in a downward spiral before OB1 left... it just became a whole lot more obvious once he was gone. I'd noticed for quite some time before that that the number of posters and post count had dropped so much over the years, and worried about what would happen if/when one of OB1's arguments caused him to leave... (and no, I definitely have not changed my opinion that I wish he had never left, this place has NOT been better off since then...)

Anyway, while the site isn't just going to dissapear, if we want it to actually be a place worth visiting very often (instead of like "hmm it's been a few weeks, I wonder if there's been a new post" like the point some lingering forums get to), we really do need to do something.
