Very good, listen now...

The text is only a little bit of the interview, don't bother with it. Listen.

I'd say his analysis of the industry is exactly correct...
Good stuff, very bleak on some points but still factual. I also enjoyed the little Animal Crossing talk. I feel so stupid for not getting involved with AC when it came out for GC but now i own both versions... and man do i wish you could swap data. :/

It's also nice to see even more positive support for Wii from industry leaders.

Because looking at the industry in the way he does, the facts are kind of bleak...
He's a salty war vet and we're the ignorant hippies, to hell with the lame excuses for shit games; one of the corporate monsters needs to invest in common sense and experimental games before I MMORPGFPSRTS myself in to a third person action-adventure coma.
He definitely knows what he's talking about, which is why the interview is so interesting... he exaggerates a bit at times, but oh well, the points are still perfectly valid. But as he says, some of these things can't be helped... there is no way right now to have it so independant developers can make products just as good as major companies, unlike, as he says, the movie industry. At this point in technology, it just can't happen... but still, that's no excuse for the lack of good ideas he cites.
