Yeah, this was news like... a few weeks ago? At least?
Tickets! Tickets! Get your Tickets! cant take a tour of ANCIENT HISTORY without a ticket!

*hopes, prays and sacrifices tiny boys in the slight off chance that a PD game is coming to DS*
I bet that they keep the franchises they're releasing on MS consoles and the one being released on Nintendo handhelds seperate...
I don't think playing PD, at least as the game is now, on the DS would be a very pleasent experience... I keep getting this image of frustatingly trying to use the touch screen to turn around and yelling at inanimate objects.
hahaha, no no, it would work great if it's basically the N64 game with tweakies.

Dragging the Sylus would be the control stick

tap a door to open it, tap the button to push it, tap the gun to reload, etc

Since we're using the stylus, the aiming reticle is always 'on' so where ever your stylus is pointing is where you will fire.

Fire with L

the d-pad is the C-buttons

and viola! *orgasm*
Okay... Perfect Dark CTS: Combat Training Simulator

Basically, the N64 multiplayer portion of the game with new weapons (some from zero) and levels (again, some from zero) and characters (....from Canada) and more importantly, a map maker function.

Simulants:

Jack the Sim - only attacks female players and female sims.

Sim Sim Alla Bimsim - This simulant travels with Johnny and Race on adventures around the world, instead of attacking with a gun, it throws a teleport squib that, if you're hit, will instantly teleport you to a random part of the level.

Sympathysim - This simulant will grant ammo or shields to whoever touches it. As players take ammo and shields from him, his body will start to turn red, once he's red, the next person who touches him will spontaneously combust.

Pepe Le Sim - stay away from this simulant, anyone who gets too close will have impared vision.

Perfect Darksim - this simulant is based off of recordings of Joanna's combat techniques. It never misses.

Original Sim - This simulant can only live once, whoever kills this sim can then only live once and so on. Be careful using this sim... there can be only one!

Lyingsim - Why is your teamate shooting you? It might be lyingsim. He can make himself look like anyone, even copy names and team colors! When lyingsim is in play, you never know what to expect.

Post your ideas for sims and other PD goodness!
Ahahaha :D

Thank god I'm taking the day off from work to get tested for sexual impurities (please god no HIV BTW kiddies never fuck dirty girls just because you want to be cool and fit in but something tells me I was the only one here dumb enough to make that mistake)

Simmer Down - Archetypal (archetypical?) caffiene-hopped sim that have awful accuracy but is pretty much a blur on the screen. It'll have enormous speed despite being fat and bald with a beard and pimples and a Shadow the Hedgehog shirt. There'll be a button-press code where you can shout at him and humiliate him and make him cry in a corner for 2 minutes.

SIM - Only Powerpuff Girls fans will get this reference. He'll look like a homosexual devil Rocky Horror knock-off, and along with guns that scream every time he pulls the trigger he'll have the ability to quickly run up and stab you with his phallic goatee and giggle like a little schoolgirl getting raped by the principal. Oh! And with such disturbing behavior, he'll be able to put you into dizzy mode (but only after stabbing you with that scorpion-tail-like-goatee).

Simpleton - Pretty much a meat sim. He has a dumb grin on his face, can't remember his team members, and once in a while, even holds the gun backwards before he fires.

Pants Sim - Mr. Pants! Slowly loses health if the level has low temperatures, because, you know, he only has on underpants.

Sim City - Not a sim but a level that's mapped after all our favorite over-the-top noir movie.

I don't have any real ideas, though, no.
lazy, that's interesting but I'm thinking of actually turning around fluidly. You do that, and the stylus will eventually reach the edge of the screen. During the time you take to lift up the stylus and move it to the other side to keep turning, you are dead. Now do you see the issue? The stylus sucked for controlling SM64 as well...
It would be just like a scoll bar though, when you're not touching the screen, you'll be center. if you tap the edge of the left part of the screen, you'll turn as if you're holding the control stick all the way left. So even if you're at the edge, you keep turning (just like Metroid Hunters), if you spot a target in the middle of a turn (keep in mind we're talking about milliseconds here :D) you can easily tap him to to aim and fire away and go right back to turning. It should work flawlessly.

Pantsim! This simulant has no weapon, instead he enjoys getting behind players and giving them wedgies which will make you move at half speed temporarily, another thing to know about this simulant is that he can only be damaged through his weak point: His pants

Oh hey, what about putting in something like actual armor? Let's put a stats system that lets you build points that you can spend at an upgrade shop. You could buy special armor that makes any part of your body invincible until the armor breaks. The down side is, the more armor you wear the slower you'll be or it will hinder you in some way so you COULD effectively have an impervious head!

Perfect head: Made of Quantum Zero-G alloys this face mask is light so it doesn't take away from your speed, the downside is that because your eyes are also covered by the mask, you see the outside world through the use of microscopic cameras. The cameras are untested, but early field reports suggest that they occasionally lose signal to your brain. It should also be noted, high calibur weapons can still penetrate the mask, the ough you will take only a quarter of the damage.

(basically, with the mask on, it would be like watching divx movie on a slow PC)

Perfect torso: Developed by CI during the 2017 'Microwave' scare this armor effectively stops anything and everything - even on an atomic level - from penetrating your body. It also adds a stealth feature that makes you virtualy invisible to radar. Even high calibur weapons get through though if you're caught in an explosion the armor cant help you here.

Movement decrease by 1/4th

Impervious Suit: The end all design of full body protection, 3 seperate layers of different alloys stop most weapons and the 'blowfish' design means that you'll survive any explosion. Unfortunately, when the suit detects massive heat levels and enters blowfish mode, you are a giant ball that cannot move or shoot. As the suit decompresses you will slowly gain movement back as well use of the arms. This suit was developed after CI agents complained of mine traps, but we know you would never be caught in such a situation, Jo.

You're basically Robocop, you cant run, and everyone can hear the thunderous steps when you come along. With this suit you can take a direct rocket but then you'll be at the mercy of gravity. While in blowfish mode (you're litteraly pumped up like a balloon) you can be kicked or shot at just like a big beachball until you shrink down. In order to effectively take down an Impervious, you need good teamwork and high calibur weapons. Think of him as a turtlesim with an advanced shield set to 1000%

If you are killed but your armor was not destroyed, you will respawn with your armor. But if your armor is destroyed during the match it's gone and you'll have to buy more. If you can keep it intact though after the match is done, it will be repaired in time for the next one.

Oh.... and how about a custom weapons shop? Add any level of zoom to any gun, make any gun a proxymine for its secondary, inscrease your calibur so you can fire through multiple objects, get an auto-aim assist that automatically fires the gun when its in direct sight with an enemy, omg *multiple orgasm*
Negative, sir! Affirmative on the life goal initiatives, sir!

BTW -- lazy, if you don't some day have a hand in a Perfect Dark sequel, I will hold you hostage for 80,000 bucks (sorry, just saw Fargo). Those ideas are awesome. A little over-the-top, but hey, aren't speculative ideas always sketchy? :D (better than I could come up with, anyway)
Of course its over the top! What are you gonna do, go UNDER it!?

I was just thinking, with dual screens you could just slap a nice 3-D isometric radar that shows the entire level with a perspective that will show you what floor an enemy is on, basically the map screen from Metroid Prime. And it coul also display the current match stats, how much time is left, who's winning, etc.

Imagine this:

Facility
Pistols
10 minutes
Team Sleepers - Human and 3 sims
Team NiGHTS - 2 Human and 1 sim
Team DamnDaisy - 1 sim (Pantsim!)

The match starts (you're in the bathroom), you see the 3-D arrows moving across the level in search of weapons and shields, you tap your sim and a menu appears over him, you tap 'follow' and the sim shadows you. You grab a Pheonix and your sim enters the foyer to find a Falcon. No one is coming for you, so you put your sim off of Follow and on to normal, you get behind him (human shield) and you both storm the lab areas. You take on one of the human players, his Magsec is no match for explosive shells in a head to head so he's dispatched rather easily. His sim comes in and makes quick work of you with a plethora of Magnum rounds, you retreat with little health and unable to get a fix on him, you tap the 'weapons' icon to bring up your current inventory and then tap the middle of it to see your sim's current health and mode (he's still on normal) you tap 'Attack' and then select 'Sim 3'. On the radar, you see his arrow turns around and imeadiately stalks poor sim 3.

Okay..... i'm gonna go play PD now :D
