This is hilarious. Why didn't I notice this before?
Huh?
Follow the link. Basically, whoever wrote a certain song in MM4 must have been watching a certain Star Trek movie.

I followed the link, but don't get it... what Star Trek song?
The undiscovered country. See that little exclamation point in the upper left corner? Click that to get info on these things.
There was that time I invented the automobile.
One time I bought a frisbee and then went around showing it to people, saying that I had invented a new toy.

...

They didn't believe though. Well who's laughing NOW?!
Them? Because you still haven't invented it?
Star Trek?

ZZzzzzzz...

(sorry if that isn't good contribution, but it's better than nothing, right? ;))
Is it?
I know that Elec Man's (MM1) stage music bears a striking resemblance to a song by Journey, the title of which...evades me now.

*goes lyric-hunting*

Ah, the song was Faithfully. The album of which was released before Mega Man, which could point to the possibility that one of the MM composers was a Journey fan, though I doubt it. I don't Journey was very popular in Japan. Chalk it up to coincidence.

Download the song and a MIDI of Elec Man's Stage and you'll notice melody of both songs is quite similar, almost identical.
