This is the fault of both the hackers of the dark, piraters and those who have attempted to prevent hacking and pirating.

Basically, piraters copy music and give it away illegally (for whatever impetus), companies set up security measures to prevent it. Hackers defeat said security. The companies set up a new security measure that really works amazingly well. Hackers see an amazing chance and use that same technology to HACK ONLINE GAMES.

Sony has created a program on some of their disks that hides the very existance of certain files from the computer completely, and only the program itself knows of their existance. The hackers have taken this program as their own to hide the previously detectable mal-ware, so they can now cheat unopposed on World of Warcraft.

Sony denies this, despite overwhelming evidence that this does allow one to hack a computer with a now undetectable trojan horse.

Microsoft will now have a key selling point on their next OS, assuming they get around to fixing this major security hole that Sony was the first to uncover.

That's right, everyone that only cares about Nintendo and likes to pretend all these companies don't exist, you aren't affected.
Sony is teh suck.
:(
In the Goron Empire, hacking is punishable by castration with rusty pruning shears.
