Comics! Who reads them? What do you read? What are your favorites; hero, villian, storyline? DC vs. Marvel? Comicbooks movies. Books you would like to see made into movies. Surge in graphic novel publishing. What? What? What?

Books I read regularly:
Ultimate Spider-man
Ultmate X-men
The Ultimates
Superman/Batman
The Flash
Fables
Y the Last Man
John Constantine: Hellblazer
Preacher
JLA
The New Avengers
Wolverine
Batman: LODK
Marvel Knights Spider-man
Astonishing X-men

Favorite Hero: Ultimate Wolverine
Favorite Villian: The Joker
Favorite Storyline: Justice League of America: The Tower of Babel. This is where Ra's Al Ghul steals Batman's dossiers on each of the JLA members and defeats them all according to each's weaknesses. And as a result the JLA vote Batman out of the league.

I grew up reading comicbooks and I am glad to see pop culture is starting to share my enthusiasm for them. I am curious to see who else in Tendo City enjoys comics.
I probably would except that it takes me about three minutes to read one. For my money there are better entertainment alternatives out there.
I read graphic novels. They take longer to read. I've been thinking about seeing if I could back order some old Simpsons and Futurama comics, as well as the crossover between the two. I doubt it'd be possible, but I'd also like to be able to back order the old Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain comics that used to come out from 1995 to 2000. I also used to collect Sonic and Knuckles comics, but those jumped the shark a long time ago.
What I've been reading recently:

Lullaby by Hector Sevilla
Azumanga Daioh by Kiyohiko Azuma
Aria by Kozue Amano
Ghost in the Shell by Masamune Shirow
Yosutba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma
Blame! by Tsutomo Nihei
Transformers/G.I. Joe by John Rey Rieber

Mostly Japanese manga and rarely any superheroes comics.
I like GR's comics.

I'll have to add "Transmetropolitan" and "The Walking Dead" to this.
I've never been as intrested in comics as books or videogames... I read the newspaper cartoons, and we have a good number of book cartoon collections at home, but very, very few comic books. Most all of the ones I have from when I was younger were Disney comics... which I stopped buying back in elementary school. :)

Webcomics are good though, I read those.
I've been making webcomics for years, but most of them were erased when 0catch closed my website for no apparent reason. My webcomics were nowhere near as good as classics such as 8 Bit Theatre and Bob & George though. I read those for a while, but then I just kinda stopped visiting. No reason other than I just... eh, stopped visiting.

Yeah, they're pretty good.
Hey Undertow, tell me about TransMetropolitian, I hear it is a book worth getting into but I don't know too much about it. And the Walking Dead is a very good book and I should be reading it regularly.

Yup, it just goes to show that Aqua Teen is a good cartoon... :)

... that's okay though, it's funny. Make more.
What are you talking about?
Well, anyone can see from the incredible turnout that comics are very popular with the TendoCity group. I always assumed comics and video games went hand in hand. Im glad this error in thinking has been corrected.

Soo... Who thinks Sentry flying Carnage up into space and then ripping him in half was the shit?

Transmetropolitan is a satire. The comic covers topics from political corruption, abortion, advertising, cloning, religion, etc. You can buy the entire series in volumes now, although the first volume isn't that spectacular (the rest are really good). Be prepared for plenty of cursing, nudity, etc, though... which can be gratuitous at times.

Comics/cartoons are fine, I enjoy them... though I very rarely read comic books, I just feel that there are other things I like more... videogames, reading books, etc...

I still have no idea what you're talking about here or why you quoted me...
Not that I would know, but from what I understand, you ripped off of all of Aqua Teen's plots and jokes. :D

I haven't watched enough Aqua Teen to know, but that's what I've interpreted from what others have said.
Well, yes, I do that quite often but what does that have to do with this thread?
I am currently reading Mark Millar's WANTED. So far it gives a very interesting perspective of a supervillian. I plan on writing a full review when I am finished.

I don't get it...
Forget it then...
If someone likes your comics, then that means they like ATHF's jokes.
I still don't have any idea what you guys are talking about.
They're saying they like your comics, hence the purpose of this thread. When they say it's like ATHF, they're making an afterthought on the humor contained within your comics.
I'm not sure if GR is being serious or taking a bad "I'm pretending to not understand you" joke way too far...
Probably the latter.
Yeah.
I thought Ryan was referrring to the comics in my list rather than the comics I made, hence the confusion.

Well alright then.
