I, too, have seen a lot of people say that Americans deserve to be brutally murdered and that we deserved what happened on 9/11. Just makes me want to strangle every last one of them. Exactly what did the citizens do that's so bad? What would killing civilians solve? Nothing. If our government does something you don't like, don't take it out on the citizens. "But you lousy Americans voted Bush into office twice!" Need I point out that Bush only won by a narrow margin last year, and in 2000 he didn't even have a plurality of the popular vote? It's not like everybody here likes him. (And those that do, from what I can tell, just feel safer with him as president. That's not how I feel, but I can't hold it against someone if they want to be protected from the kinds of people I'm ranting about.)

Anyway, as for the actual story: yeah, that's pretty fucked up. People like that just don't deserve to live; our earth is polluted with enough pointless violence as is.

Basically. I think we should just build a massive, 20 foot high steel wall around that entire region and leave them to themselves for about 10-20 years. Soon enough, there won't be any of those idiots left and we won't have to deal with them anymore.

Currently? No I don't see any of those religions kililng people, but it's a little silly to say that you can only count the ones currently being violent. In the past, the muslims were more peaceful, and well, I do seem to recall the crusades.

Wiccans are such a small religion that they can't really organize anything violent or peaceful. Generally, that religion consists of downcast teenage girls who don't even realize there are other beliefs around magic like druidism. However, I'm fairly sure they have some serious potential. When they flat out deny even the possibility that magic could work in any other way than they describe or even that alternative religions that believe as much EXIST, that can produce trouble.

Buddhists haven't always been so peaceful... The very fact that a lot of buddhist monks practice the martial arts says something about the history there.

The only thing I'm saying here is no religion is immune to idealism producing extremism, and that this particular one is just another in a long line.

I'm not anti-Muslim, I'm anti-extremist. But I agree with EdenMaster, let's just isolate the fuckin' Middle East from the rest of the world. They're responsible for most of the world's violence. With them out of the way, we can focus on other problems such as poverty.

He's right, Islam is at the center of practically every major world conflict going on right now. Not all of them are like this, but the religion as a whole is responsible for what's going on, and this is just in character for many of them.

Just about the only thing that's not directly caused by extremists in the Middle East is North Korea.

Yeah, North Korea is probably the only non-Muslim problem we have in terms of foreign affairs. It's like the Cold War all over again with them.

It really is sad... the cradle of great civilization was at the Tigris and the Euphrates, but now look at whats become of it. Just goes to show you what religious brain-washing and fanaticism can do.

I wish the fanatics would take the sixth commandment more seriously. It's like, murder and killing is forbidden in the teachings of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, yet that particular part of the Old Testament bares no significance in the eyes of the fanatics.
