Just the one? If he's by himself and it's a standard size orcish horde... Sorry, but while the samurai shall kill many and likely keep count the whole time, the warrior is bound to die.
Now, put the samurai in there with an army of knights and archers, now you have something, even if it's not that big an army.

By Samurai I mean your standard middle ages Samurai army. Like you see in Anime and movies.

I've only seen "wandering samurai" animes, the ones that say you can just go on a journey any time you want and there's no need to worry about the fact that you will STARVE TO DEATH if you just do that.
Okay then, in that case the samurai are the "good guys" so they will win.

Samurai are a lot more skilled than a horde of orcs, so the samurai would probably win unless they were heavily outnumbered.

Damn straight. Heck, ANY human is a lot more skilled than a horde of rampaging blood thirsty orcs. They just hack and slash. Sure they have that strength advantage, and they berserk, but just look at Lord of the Rings. Anyone with any sort of combat training at all can kill 30 or 40 of those things without much effort.
On the other hand, Warcraft happens to have orcs that have lost their bloodlust, and they are skilled, and there are even samurai orcs. Kinda makes things tougher. Then again, the samurai orcs run around with giant FLAGS attached to their backs so it's not like they are hard to spot.

True, but even so the humans would probably have lost in the end without help from the Ints [Ents?] in Two Towers and the ghosts in Return of the King.

You got it right, ents. And yeah, that's right.
As for the dead, they actually played a different part in the book.
