Full Version: An Idea

I'm posting this here to make sure that it's seen. It can be moved to the appropriate forum later.

So we've been thinking about ways to get new members which is almost impossible since people can't find us. I got to thinking what about joining a webring? So I looked around and Webring.com seems to be the most popular. If you search for Nintendo on their site you get several Nintendo webrings. Some of which have many listed sites. It would be one way to get new members and all you'd have to do is put the webrings banner on the site.

The other possibility is a banner exchange program. There seem to be a lot of those so we'd have to try and find a good one.

Just throwing some ideas out there so tell me what you think.
Sounds like as good an idea as I've heard so far.
Web rings are for DORKS! There, I said it.
Then what about banner exchange huh? :D We could even have a contest to make the official TC banner.
Sounds like a better idea than the rest of the ... oh wait, this is the only idea we've come up with? Let's see if we can do something with it then. :)
Might as well post this here as well. I was browsing the site Azaroth.org when I noticed:

Quote: Powered by: vBulletin Version 3.0.5 & vBindex Version 3.0.0 RC5

So I was curious what vBindex was since I can click on the stories on their frontpage and it takes me to the appropriate thread. So I Googled it and found this thread.
Best part of all:

Quote:vBindex is *FREE*, please have the courtesy click install if you use this hack, thank you [Image: happy.gif]

I gotta admit it would be nice if we could post news to the frontpage and then discuss it in a thread.

I don't know if Ryan can or would even want to use it but it can't hurt to put the info out there.
Indeed, but it may be wise to not mess with hacks for now unless we know the entire nature of the hack. Let's have one of the smarter people here analyze it. Now, of course this isn't hollywood where you can just have someone stare at a screen of numbers flying by and somehow know what it means (ridiculous), so the source code would be nice.
