Wireless and Netplay ready out of the box CONFIRM'D!
Wow, we posted the same news at the exact same time.
Hey, I posted this too!
So, I noticed. :D
Awesome.
GR won by a few minuites so his thread is the real one. :D

But yes, it is good news.
So aside from their rather empty speech meant only to garner support and not really inform, what are they telling us? Seems to me, nothing.

However, wifi support is always an improvement. I've said I have no real reason to buy a wireless controller, and that's still true. But, wireless is still better than wired. Just not enough to warrent me dishing out extra cash for a controller :D.
Just merge the two threads.
What it means is that Nintendo has finally decided that they to take their home system online.
They "decided" that with the Gamecube. But yes, it does seem a lot more likely to come to pass now. They will likely be a lot more wary of screwing over allies considering the last time they did that it produced the Playstation.
Awesome, awesome, fancy, Danish!
Quote:Just merge the two threads.

Okay...you do it, OB1.
I'll do it!

Except I can't.

So I guess I won't.
How in the hell do you merge threads?

And in a record time, we have TOTALLY hijacked this thread!
There I did it. :)

It's in the thread tools bar on top.
Then let's un-hijack it.

I really hope Nintendo sets up something like a "Nintendo Network". Something similar to Xbox Live in functionality but without the fee.

What kind of features would you like to see in a Nintendo Network? Let's throw out some ideas.

  • Buddy list
  • Instant messaging
  • Game demos (Would require HDD)
Chatrooms/lobbies for the games, user-creatable chatrooms, either voice chat or a keyboard...
Definitely should have voice chat. Keyboard would be good for MMO's and the like though.

Here's some Nintendo games I'd love to see online:

Super Mario - Co-op and mini games
Super Mario Kart
Super Smash Bros.
Animal Crossing 2
Pokemon
Advance Wars
Fire Emblem
An original FPS
Hyrule Online - ;)
I just want my Animal Crossing/Four Swords hybrid idea to happen. With online play.
Do I hear Mario Party Online? Because I think I do.
Mario Party Online would be nucking futs

But how about F-Zero Online? all 30 players with custom machines. can you imagine the level of smack that game would cause online?
F-Zero Online with 30 people would be insanely awesome.
