My only comment is.. WHY??? Why does there need to be a Driver movie... haven't there been enough awful videogame movies? Yeah, sure, it COULD turn out good... but really what are the chances of that...

I hope it goes the way of the Doom movie and never happens... of course I wish the Metroid one would go that way too...
Driver would probably make a pretty good movie, it does have a lot of movie-like qualities [i.e. easily translated storyline, chase replays are displayed in a movie fashion].

But, I'd rather just have Driver 3 The Game.
Wasn't there going to be a Crazy Taxi movie? I'm sure that got canned... how about the Duke Nukem movie?

All responsible for these movies should be hurt.
No they're still going ahead with the Crazy Taxi movie. And just you wait until House of the Dead comes out! It's gonna be off tha' hook!!
They already made a Crazy Taxi movie. It's called Die Hard: With a Vengence.

Incidentally, Die Hard Trilogy (part 3 [With a Vengence]) was a much better game than Crazy Taxi could ever hope to be.
That Die Hard game was mediocre at best.
Here here; I played/rented that game with a friend when it was new...the game was so blah...mediocre at best is giving it too much credit. While not a bad film, it was also the least-good of the Diehard Trilogy of films, also.

As to a Driver movie--my feelings on this are neutral. I've never played it, but I can assume it'll suck opossum scrotum none-the-less.
Driver 1 was a really good game... I never played the second one because they didn't port that one to PC, though, but heard it wasn't as good as the first one. Still, I'm looking forward to Driver 3... and while the movie COULD be good, the likelihood of that is so small that it really doesn't appear on the radar... given how good videogame movies are almost all the time...
Driver 3 is looking really, really good.
