Not just some cute little bonus like a DVD with the making of, though there is that too. This special edition you have to preorder actually has an exclusive character with special abilities.

...

In other words if you have interest in getting this game, you better preorder or you'll be playing this game with the nagging realization that you'll never be able to experience the WHOLE... experience.
Erm
Yep, that's white space over there... try looking up, at the link.
I know what it's about...I just felt like posting that smilie.
Welcome to last month!

I don't think I'll be preordering Jade Empire, although I'm sure I'll be getting it eventually.

The special features aren't really THAT great. You get an extra playable charcter, a new fighting style, and a foil wrapper...oh yeah you also get a Making of feature, but it's produced by G4...
Extra gameplay features mean you MUST obtain it, or you aren't experiencing the maximum moses mode of the game. Every time you play it, you'll feel like giving up because you know you can't do it ALL and obtain your perfect form! You know, like what I feel when I play US Four Swords Adventures...
It's one extra character and style of fighting, I don't think the game will suddenly not be good for the lack of them or suddenly become in any significant way better if you have them.
But it's incomplete! Doesn't that make the universe hollow out to you to know that?
Actually I do want the extra character and fighting style.
No you don't.
....

well
Well okay maybe I don't feel like all is for naught... I mean I still love Four Swords Adventures and all, but it really sucks when you know what you could ALSO have and you are missing out. I mean, I don't care what Nintendo says, the importers of the Japanese version all say the Tetra's Trackers game is great fun.
