Quote:The nineteenth episode of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE's fourth season will continue the story begun with "In a Mirror, Darkly," and create another link between ENTERPRISE and the original STAR TREK series. In Part I (as previously reported), a Mirror Universe adventure unfolds when we glimpse the moment of first contact with Vulcans taking a vicious turn, entirely different from the history we've seen in the feature film FIRST CONTACT.

In part two of the story, we encounter a mirror version of our NX-01 crew. Archer doesn't have a command of his own in this universe, but together with his fellow cruel shipmates, he captures a vessel known as the "Defiant" -- the Federation starship lost in "The Tholian Web", quite possibly. In the famous TOS episode, the U.S.S. Defiant disappears into "interspace" after phasing between dimensions for a few hours. Coto mentioned earlier today (story) that a "1701-class Federation starship" would make an appearance this season, and this episode will likely involve replicas of classic TOS sets.

Mayweather and Archer torture an alien prisoner to gain information about the location of a stowaway -- a Gorn -- before later meeting up with another Empire starship, the Avenger. The Avenger's science officer is a submissive 'Lieutenant Commander Soval' and after a firefight, Archer and the Defiant rendevezous with the Avenger, where Archer prods her commander for a battlefield commission. It seems the Enterprise in this universe was commanded by 'Captain Forrest', and their fate remains unknown at this time.

This information is only preliminary and should be treated as rumor until confirmed by official channels

Finally somthing that isnt a snore fest ,Looks like a amazing idea its probaily the most original thing they ever cooked up , They can bring in the Gorn without breaking continuity.

I also wonder is this the episode that William Shatner was sopposed to show up? If your a TOS buff you would remeber that the "tholian web" is were Kirk gets traped out of Phase with the doomed USS Defiant Constitution (untill spock saved his hide) but during that time Kirk could have conceivably shifted demensions in and out of the alternate universe, So should Kirk have been in this one? Ok they would have had to adress the issue of his fatness and oldness but it could have been great!
They were also saying Willaim Shatner will suposovly make an appearance this season, so a 1701 class starship would be more likely to appear in that episode
At first he said if Boston legal didnt do to good this year he would concider it, Clearly BL has done good and I admit its a great show , Amazingly they got pretty close to a agreement a few months ago , But Shatner was asking for more money since he would have to sit out time on his own show for it.Some fans felt Shatner was being greedy and heartless , but Manny Coto quickly defended him saying the money was not the problem he said Bill (nickname of Shatner) just had time constraints because of Bl scedueling and just wouldnt work out this year, But Bill said that if Enterprise is renued for another season he will more then likely come on board season 5 for a episode or two.
I only think there's a chance of seeing Shatner if it gets renewed. Which looks unlikely, so... :( on both counts.
why did they move enterprise to friday. Stupid UPN
No, that isn't the problem... actually if they hadn't moved it I bet that it well might have been cancelled like a lot of people thought it would be after season three... the problem is that the show just isn't very popular.

The fact that it's UPN's most popular Friday show ever won't matter much given how much dislike there seems to be for Trek at UPN these days...

Quote:Despite doubts about the accuracy of the ratings, however, Moonves' comments on the likely future of Star Trek: Enterprise were rather ominous. "The Star Trek franchise has obviously been a very important franchise for Paramount, for the studio," he said in an interview reported at Broadcasting and Cable. "The last movie didn't do particularly well. The series is struggling." Moonves suggested that Star Trek may need to be given a rest.

Both Moonves and UPN president of entertainment Dawn Ostroff said that no decision had been made about whether Paramount would keep Enterprise next season, and Moonves said that Paramount had not made a decision on whether there would be a new feature film or another television series for the franchise either.

The Campaign to save enterprise has already started , Their big fighting point is bring it to CBS saturdays they are mailing too Viacom President Moonves.

UPN wants Enterprise too die , They dont advertise or even give bloody previews on the channel for the show , Their affiliates prempt them often with no regard or reshowing.

CBS could give the series the exposure it needs and CBS from what John Sullivan has said the guy who is the brains behind the campaign , CBS has lossed alot of shows on saturdays and missing its old hits so Enterprise a show already set up and infastructure in place could fill in has a good fan base to fall on.I think Enterprise could go back up to 6 million if the writing continues to progress and if it can get on CBS.

UPN isnt gonna Renew thats for sure, They are already ripping the studio off ,So this is a win all lose all battle to keep Enterprise going after season 4,In the Mirror darkly has me excited.

Enterprise actually is doing the same as stargate Sg1 ratings wise, Its the cost thats burning it, Sg1 is dirt cheap and the dvds sell good,If Ent could maintain 4 million then it would be safer water, But its not gonna happen .

So its either CBS or the end , Moonves has said that they are gonna give trek a 2 year break with no tv show and then decide what to do.
I very highly doubt that Moonves would put a show that got low ratings on UPN onto CBS... it just doesn't seem to make any sense... this being the last season of Enterprise seems like the most likely result unless magically the ratings for the rest of this season really start to improve. Which isn't likely. So despite its improvement I expect that this is the end of Enterprise... which honestly was lucky to even get this fourth season...

It would be cool if it could get on CBS, but I just don't see it happening.
Moonves talked about Ent showed interest he has said if it can get 4 million on a few episodes in whats left of the run then he says the door may be open to be renewed and Moonves has said they wont make a decision on Enterprise yet untill after its finnished its season ,He also said he liked the change in creativity and the recent nice reviews and ratings (not neilsons) may influeince his decision.

UPN direction is changing towards a female audience and blacks, So Enterprise doesnt fit on that channel anymore.

Ent had 4 million steady till season 2, Its been noted that some afiliates were lossed I know hawaii doesnt get it for sure they have not recieved it since season 2, On the St forums I read about some people in other states that dont get it either after broken bow ended.

I agree star trek is due for a break , There gonna do that after Ent is over by looks of it. I dont think it should have seven seasons since it doesnt have enough depth for that ,But 4 seaons is too short to complete the necessary Birth of the federation story , B&B are the ones doing the last episode this season and that doesnt make me very enthusiatic since I bet it will probaily have time travel of some sort in it like usual.

The Campaigners hope a barrage of mail to him may give him a clue that alot of people want to see the show and dont want cancelation, Neilson cannot tell you exact figures and its just a educated estimate to viewership. This is the same people who fought and won last year which didnt look very good then either. They are also giving letters of thanks to the actors since if it came to renewal some may not sign on and they could use encouragement anyways.
