Expected, I guess... but still dissapoining that they cancelled ALL of the serieses... :(
I don't care about sports games, but this is bad news. Very bad for Nintendo.
Well, yeah, it doesn't directly affect me either, as I haven't bought a sports game in 7 or 8 years (the last sports game I bought was NBA Jam TE for GB in 1995...), but yes, it is a very bad blow for Nintendo... it'll REALLY hurt people's view on the console to see a whole lineup of games like that vanish... many of them very good. While in some categories (like baseball) there is still plenty of titles, some genres are now left to EA alone... especially since Nintendo seems to have pretty much stopped making its own sports games. Not good for sports games fans or Nintendo's image.
I personally don't care for Sega sports and it seems most GCN fans don't as well. Didn't they give us a bad port of NFL2K3 (no online etc)? I was REALLY lookinf forward to Home Run King, but then I read the reviews and I was turned off. Oh well... I havn't been too thrilled with sport titles like I was once a few years ago.
I'm with MgL and Black Falcon on this one; I care neither about Sega nor about sports games as a genre.
It's bad news for Nintendo.
It's bad news wheter you like Sega's sports games or not. People didn't think the Cube had a good sports lineup in the first place and this certainly won't help. I personally think EA has better games than Sega in every sport except basketball, but losing Sega Sports is still a big deal.
It's not that big of a deal.

As long as they still have EA sports, no one will even notice.
