Quote:Nintendo are enjoying good sales in Germany at the moment. With an increase in market share for June of over 4% compared to the average market share. This means that for June Nintendo had a 26% market share. As well as this 52% of video games sold in Germany during the first half of 2004 were Nintendo products.

Since the GameCube launched Nintendo have sold 600,000 units in Germany, however during the first half of this year they have already sold 100,000. This means Nintendo sold four times as much compared to the same period last year.

Dr. Bernd Fakesch, general manager of Nintendo Germany stated that Nintendo is doing well because gamers enjoy characters and franchises they are familiar with, and franchises like Mario and Zelda ensure large sales.

At least the GC is selling good somewhere.

What great news! Fully exonorates Nintendo for all its problems, obviously.
Yeah those guys are really picky when it comes to entertainment, so this is great news.

Your sarcasm has been duly noted.
:D
Why doesn't Nintendo just produce a David Hasselhoff edition GameCube for Germany? No one in Germany would buy another PS2 or Xbox!
By golly that's a great idea!
Yeah, they could put a picture of him in that little circle thing on the top of the GC! It'd sell millions I tell you! MILLIONS!!
Too bad in newer GC units they removed the ability to replace that top circle thingy. Along with component out. Because Nintendo is retarded.
I never figured out how to remove that top circle thing... not so bad, given I have nothing to replace it with. :)
You remove it from underneath the lid...
I figured out with a few minutes of experimenting how to get the circle off, but since I didn't have anything to replace it with I just put it back.
Yeah, I didn't exactly try very hard.
I saw some third party things to replace the lid with, they were weird logos and stuff.
Yeah, and I never felt the need to do that.
