Holy crap, a new RPG from GameArts, a new Goemon game (PLEASE let it be a port or sequel to the first N64 game!), a new Castlevania (hopefully 2D), a new Seiken Densetsu (I guess we now know which system the new SD is landing on! Woo!), Harvest Moon DS (better have online support!!), and a crapload of support from Square! YES!!!
PSP? What's that?

I see a lot of RPGs on that list and that's making me very exciting about owning a DS. I want a DS and I want it NOW!
*plays Queen's "I Want It All"*
*plays Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"*

...

...

What? It's a good song!
There WAS a Goemon GBA game, by the way. Goemon New Age somethingorother (as the name suggests it was futuristic, not medieval)... only came out in Japan. Got bad reviews.

New Seiken Densetsu is awesome. So is another Survival Kids, GameArts RPG, Castlevania, FFCC, Namco RPG... looks like a good lineup. So when does it come out, and when does this game come out? :)
I'd imagine just about all those games will come out in the first year of the DS's release, which will probably be around later '04.
I doubt most of them will be out this year, these are just annoucements. Maybe Castlevania and some of those puzzle games will make it out this year or early next, but even that I doubt. I hope I'm wrong though.

I guess it should have been o', not 'o, right?

Really? That sucks. There was also a PS2 game but it was never released here. Looked kinda like the first N64 game. I really hope the DS game gets a US release.
Quote:I doubt most of them will be out this year,

No, I meant the year FOLLOWING the release of the DS. The 12 months after it's released.
Oh so you meant late '05 then.
Yeah, that's obviously not a launch list. :) Some will be cancelled, and the rest will come out in, probably, the year or so after launch... maybe a few will be later than that, but most portable games don't get delayed that long.

Yeah.

...

...

...

...

I guess I should have just said that.
Well nobody is judging.
GR: Yeah, I guess you're right.

*In the darkest depths of outerspace!!*

Universal Judgebot 5000M: Did hear see that? You heard it right? He totally should have said that other things instead of what he did say! *smacks gavel* Ha! You're going to eternal punishment for that little slip up! Hope you like pain and suffering because you're gonna get lot of it in the Hades planetary system! By the way, make sure you bring water, right? You know what I mean! Ha! ...Because their water's really dirty and it's got germs and stuff. Like Mexico. Except they've got strict age limits on drinking. And they don't serve those drinks with the little umbrellas that everyone likes to get. Tourism's pretty good though. Boiling lava pools and all that are a pretty big tourist draw. Good hotels too. They've got the ones where they leave the little mints on you're pillow and the expensive towels in the bathroom, stuff like that.... Actually the Hades planetary system isn't that bad. You wouldn't want to live there though because they've got a really high income tax, like Europe. That's why a banish people there. I guess I could just banish people to Europe. That might be better. Europe. Huh, I've got to rethink my longterm outlook...
Well there you go.
Yeah, so remember that next time you don't think someone is judging you, because the Universal Judgebot 5000M just might be.
Well... nobody listens to robots.
Yeah, I guess you're right.
*Robot Jones runs away, crying*
Whatever happened to Robot Jones?
He was a sad, sad robot. Nobody liked him, not even himself.
Nintendogs?

Is anybody else a little unnerved by that?

I always wanted to play the GBC Survival Kids, now maybe I can play the DS one instead.
GBC Survival Kids is okay... I have it. Never finished it though, I thought it got dull.
Glad you're reading again guys -- I'm very excited about these new DS titles as well.
I've always linked to the 'dojo. :D
I doubt that, OB1... :) ... but now that DMiller left N-Philes (I think)...
Well not every time, but I've been consistently linking to the dojo since this place started.
Among other sites, sure...
Of course.
I used to link to N-Philes a lot, but now they pretty much gone so now I link to Cube-Europe... :(
Cube-Europe stinks. Use IGN, Gamespot, Nintendojo... PGC if they have it...
Yeah those guys tend to post rumor and speculation as news from time to time. Like that supposed WW2 screen which was from Tetra's Trackers, and the whole BG&E deal.
They also have all kinds of innacuracies in their mailbag... sure you expect a few, but they seem to have them more often than most. And yeah, they definitely mix up their facts sometime...
Missed this...

Quote:Atlus reveals DS surgery game
Previously announced Caduceus will use a stylus for operating and voice recognition for verbal encouragement.

TOKYO--Last week, Atlus announced five titles for the Nintendo DS, one of which was a previously unknown game named Caduceus. Today Japanese Web site NTT EG disclosed that Caduceus will be a sci-fi surgery game and that it has been tentatively renamed to Caduceus: Surgical Operation.

The player steps into the role of a talented young surgeon who must operate on different maladies in each of the game's stages. Caduceus will take advantage of both the handheld's stylus and voice recognition capability. Actions such as cutting the patient or getting rid of an unidentified parasite are done with the stylus. In addition, while operating, the player must cheer on the patient using the device's voice recognition.

Caduceus: Surgical Operation follows a sci-fi storyline, meaning that all the illnesses and operation procedures in the game will be fictional. Atlus labels Caduceus as a "sci-fi surgery action game," suggesting that the game also has some action involved.

The game is slated for release in spring 2005 in Japan.

Quote:Nintendo had already announced that a total of over 120 games were in development for its upocoming DS handheld. The company released a list this week confirming that at least 64 of those games will come from Japanese developers.

The list confirms what was already certain, that Nintendo will not leave anything to chance. While strong support was expected from the Japanese market, the surprise from this list is that Western developers may be creating more titles for the innovative, twin screened console than initially expected. Nintendo has confirmed that a list of Western developers working on DS titles is coming soon.

http://www.megagames.com/news/html/conso...apan.shtml

That article was on megagames, the link shows the japanese games being developed for the DS, this is kinda really good news because it means there's pretty much half of the 120 announced games being developed by western developers which is good news if only for the fact that we will have almost as many games as japan this round ^_^

Aside from that you guys already saw the list posted before, I just figured you might want to see which ones were japanese and which were western.
Wow, that surgery game sounds like a terrific idea.
It certainly sounds like a unique use of both the microphone (first game that uses it that we know of?) and the stylus, yes... so will it work like the game Operation? :D
The surgery game sounds really cool.

It looks like Nintendo is taking the PSP seriously by getting tons of support from Japanese and American companies.
On the subject of the DS... Nintendogs? (This isn't new, but I don't know if anyone here has seen it...)

Neat.
