They killed off Impressions and Papyrus. I don't think I should have to continue...

Well, one thing. I believe that every studio that was once part of Sierra is now dead and buried. And the current "Sierra" studio doesn't count.

If there was anything left to care about at Sierra, it's gone. Now I got to get LOTR3... :(
Yes they are evil. Very evil. However they are a much lesser evil compared to the Dark Lord EA. You killed Origin, damn you to hell EA!
EA killed Origin. They also killed Bullfrog. And ... um, some others, I think...

Vivendi isn't to blame for much of Sierra's faults. That spans several ownership groups. What happened was Ken Williams lost control of the company. Not too much later, in 1999, everything blew up... and the sad thing is I think it was Sierra that killed itsself -- to "change the company to make it do better" or something. I think they failed. But they just kept killing divisions, one after another, until today I'd be surprised if two teams are left from the original Sierra. Hmm, there might not be even one... since they gave Tribes to Irrational, who knows, they might have fired the Sierra Tribes team too... if so, the last link to old Sierra would truly be broken. So, so sad... :(

And I had hopes for Impressions, since strategy games are popular on PC. Only as incompetent leadership as the current heads of Sierra could make that a failure...
The entire Tribes team was fired as soon as development of Tribes 2 was finished. Nice way of rewarding all their hard work.
