Well you may want too concider trading all those games at EB before their value decreases, It looks like you may have enough to earn atleast enough store credits to get a new console.
Most of those games he has now aren't worth 10% of their value to EB. They rip you off blind. If you sell games, do it privately, so you get what they're really worth.

Blasphemer! The only time I have ever sold videogames was when I sold most of my NES games to buy a SNES. I've regretted it ever since and I bought back most of the games. I used to own close to 50 NES games, though! I also sold a bunch of my Playstation games, but I didn't care since I was pissed at Sony for my PSX breaking after the warranty expired. I didn't have too many PSX games anyway besides what I kept.
Gamestop; at least the one I go to; stopped taking all pre-N64/PSX systems and games early this year! :(
I dont think EB will take anything before psx/n64 era, I wonder if they even take N64 games for that matter.
But you could do it if you hate some of the games you have , You might be abled too get one free new game if you trade.
There are very few games I own that I hate, though. And the ones I don't like I'd probably get very little money for.

I almost never sell any of my video games, even ones that I haven't played in a long time and will probably never play again. WHAT'S THE POINT OF BUYING THEM IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO CHERISH THEM??!!

Amen. I sold my NES to get Hardball 5 for PC, and I will regret it to the day I die. We played HB5 like crazy and got our money's worth, but there are others ways to get the money besides selling your childhood. :(

I too made the mistake of getting rid of some NES games long ago. Indeed, when I got my SNES one Christmas, I gave my NES to my little siblings (only had two at the time), because I "didn't need that any more". Later on, I realized I DID. Eventually, I got back all my old NES games for the price of me making them oatmeal. (They were... not good with trading...) I bought another NES later on, as well as all the accessories I could want, including ROB, but excepting the running pad, AND with fully intact instructions, and 3 games, for $15.
I sold my NES and games a long time ago and then used the money to by Sonic 2 [which cost $80!!!!!].
The problem with me selling my games was I went to Funco Land to buy most of them back a few years later and it ended up costing me a lot more money than I got for them even though I bought back something like 15 less games than I sold. It pissed me off so much and I have never sold a single game since.
I haven't sold any games in a while, and most I do sell [which isn't often] are ones I either bought really cheap or were never that good to begin with or both.
I too obstain from selling games unless it's SO utterly without value that I just can't possibly justify keeping it. It takes a true stinker of a game to do that. Even then, if the game is "the ultimate in suck" in some catagory, I'll keep it JUST as a memento to what makes a bad game. For example, I still own Quest 64 and don't plan on selling it simply so I can say "I own the first and worst RPG for N64". At least Paper Mario, the second, last, and BEST RPG on gamecube (out of two (I don't count strategy games like Ogre Battle as RPGs, nor do I count what amounts to "expansion packs" for Pokémon, the stadium games, as full fledged RPGs), that's not saying much, but it's a Mario RPG, one everyone here has, so we all know how much it rocks) easily makes up for it. Wow, nested parenthesis in the midst of a sentence. I do it all the time, but I just wanted to let you know I'm FULLY aware that you had to go back to the very start of that sentence and read it again to have any idea what the end of the sentence meant. I'm just too lazy to care :D.
I only game I ever regreted selling was starcraft , Thats why I bought the battlechest set recently so I can have a clear concious.
I cant really get into mech assault but its so cheap now I think I am gonna have to keep it.

It's spelled "to" when it has that definition. "Too" is the spelling you use when you are saying something like "Me too". Too means "also". To is used like this "In order to win" or "to the end of the world". Another example "The word "to" is used to indicate a sort of relationship where one thing leads TO the other".
Two is the number 2, used for amounts, as in the popular phrase "That antelope has two heads!".
I would only even BEGIN to consider getting rid of a game if I really disliked it... I've always been reluctant to trade games. I have sold/traded a couple of games, all for GB, but not many compared to how many games I have... and not in many years. Years ago I decided never to do it unless it was a game of the level of Toy Story for GB -- ie I wouldn't exactly miss it... :D
I bought it, so I want to have it! So I'm not playing it now. I might want to sometime and if I sell it it'd be a major pain to try to go out and buy another copy...
Oh, EB most certainly will take N64. Probably not from ones before N64/PSX, but it defiinitely takes N64. At least the ones I've been to must because they all have selections of used N64 games just as good as Gamestops'...
Usually when I buy a game it's because I want to own it and this is especially true with older games. That's why I don't sell games very often.
I feel if it's a game I don't think is worth keeping after I beat it, I'll just borrow it from a friend or rent it for a week.
Generally, I only currently own a couple games that are so completely and utterly without value to me that I want to sell them. Two are unliscensed NES games (I have a 3rd of those, but it's actually pretty fun, AND it was made by Sega, for the NES, BY SEGA, FOR THE NES, Afterburner).
The two NES Micro Machines games were unliscenced, but good, if they're like the other versions of Micro Machines... :)
Yeah, Afterburner is a pretty fun mindless 3D shooter, and from what I understand, Tengen's version of Tetris had one major superiority over the Elorg version, it apparently had a VS mode. Tengen's version was ruled illegal (to make, not to own fortunatly), and reading about the legal battles, I fully agree with that decision. The person in charge of getting Tengen to make it was obviously a big scam artist. I don't want to say too much about the poor fellow, as he died under somewhat suspicious causes after a failed business deal a while later, but this particular thing was certainly a rotten deal. Still, the programmers who made Tengen Tetris certainly did a fine job from what I've read and were likely unaware of any legal issues. Actually, I saw a complete copy, box and all, at a local used game story. Certainly a tempting buy...

My dad's boss ordered FF3 from a catalog once (along with Secret of Mana), and when he realized it was for SNES and not for his computer he just gave them to my dad. I kept SoM, but I already owned FF3 so I sold it to my friend for $20. I kick myself now as a still-shrink-wrapped copy of FF3 is worth a pretty penny, and will only go up in value.

Yes that I can see. When you have multiple copies, unless you are saving it for when the thing's value increases, better just sell it or give it as a gift. I happen to have two copies of Final Fantasy for NES. I might get rid of the one with the torn label one day, might not. When a game has just one save file, extra copies certainly do help.
