Wow.. I thought that I'd heard that over time the PS2 had caught up, but evidently not...
Star power wins the day!
Yes, isn't it great? And amazing when you think of how much larger the PS2 userbase is...
Yes, but people love Link, but no one gives half a damn about Heihachi. Or Spawn. It's like making the same movie three times. One stars Anthony Hopkins. The other two star Treat Williams and Dolph Lundgren.

Roles aside, which one is gonna do best? :)
I don't even know that third guy... but yes, putting Link in it was a really good idea.

My point is made. :)

A good idea? More like a stroke of genius. I don't like fighting games that much. The appeal of having Link in Soul Calibur was the only reason I bought the game. Now, I love it, and don't even play as Link that much anymore! I've found I have much more fun playing as Cervantes, Yoshimitsu, or Voldo.

Not that Link can't kick some serious ass. He's a great character, and fits into the game so much better than Heihachi and Spawn.

Long live Link, until I meet him in Survival with Cervantes. Then he'll die.
Here's hoping that Nintendo does more stuff like this. Like maybe Samus in SC Ghost. Haha, that'd be so cool. I suppose she'd be a bit too loud for stealth stuff though...
Yeah. :) And yes, I do think that Soul Calibur 2 sold so well on Cube not just because fighting game fans went Cube but because Nintendo fans, who haven't had many fighting games on their consoles that are great since the SNES (the N64 has some good ones but none I'd call great), saw Link and decided to try it... I bet if all three versions had been the same total sales would be noticably lower.
Go, Link!!
