That's how I got a subscription to EGM a few years ago. I thought it was suppose to last just a year, but they just keep coming. Anyway, anyone who's wary of this don't worry about it. They get more money from advertisers than subscriptions so they can afford to do this for a few people each year. I can vouge that it actually isn't some kind of scam.
Don't know if it's worth actually getting the mag, though. :)

Yeah, I know people who use these things to sign up until like 2006 or later.
