Warp Pipe makes your online dreams come true by hornswaggling your GameCube into playing online by thinking it's only playing LAN.

Check it out!
We've all heard of it. Is it OUT yet though? That's all we care about.

For that matter, I've been using the same sort of thing for my XBox to play Halo online.

Edit: Shoulda checked it out BEFORE posting I guess. Here's what EM forgot to mention. The beta, which lets you play WITHOUT having to be on a college link up, IS OUT NOW! Play it or die!

Oh yes, no matchmaking. Just punch in an IP address. That means we'll have to use the IP address feature of the message board. Remember, if you are hooked up to a router, the IP address your computer says you have is false. Use the MB to find out what it really is.

Another Edit: The Warp Pipe site has a script on the connection setup page that tells you exactly what your IP address is seen from it's side. For those of you who AREN'T admins, that's the way to go to find it out.
That's what I meant DJ. It's ready to rock now, so go get it!
Well, I can't get it to detect the right device... I guess it sucks. Well, it won't do what it says it'll do, so I kinda have to conclude that don't I?
Or that you don't know what you are doing?

Or it could be that its beta software and you can expect bugs. :)
There's only one option in the selection menu for the online device. It's a menu that from the instructions is pretty much the same thing as the selection menu for setting up Gamespy Arcade's XBox Tunnel. However, it seems it doesn't detect on-motherboard ethernet adapters, or something.

You've got to be kidding me. That ruins everything!
I would be very surprised if it didn't work with on-motherboard ones... have you tried all the stuff they talk about to try to solve problems?

Oh, there are some major bugs, though... the biggest of which is the fact that it doesn't worki at all in Win95/98/ME.

I don't have a broadband adapter yet, so I can't try it out. Hopefully you can get it working soon DJ.
Okay, I can't find a single subject on that forum that has to do with my problem. So then, what topic were you wanting me to see here?
a)see if its not something else and/or b)ask for help there?
