The file karped out on me just as the player was being GLORIUS in the first Dark World level, but WOW! Those Japanese gamers come along and TOTALLY shut our mouths! I mean, the sheer effortless skill involved! The beautiful jumps, flawless running at max speed, jumping right at the perfect time for a perfect bounce... The constant 1-ups in a level where I remember just trying to survive! It's finger lickin' good! This person is The One!

Want another amazing Japanese bit of skoolery? I have no idea where to start looking, but I saw this one video of someone TOTALLY kicking Cruel Melee's arse! (In Super Smash Bros. Melee of course!) The person picked Pikachu, and proceeded to do effortless jumps all over the place luring the AI around and finishing with some cool jumps that got them to kill themselves.

Obviously, Japanese gamers aren't as big on making a game easy as once thought...

I remember first finding some translations of a Japanese Pokémon strategy site... They managed to completely figure out every single formula used in the battles, and had a huge list of killer pokémon with move sets I'd never even thought of! Now I use Slowbro with sheer pride.
That absolutely awed me. Whoever that is has flawless reaction and a mastery of the game's patterns.

I bet Fred Savage would shit his pants if he watched that.
All that link brings up is a Japanese site with no movie that I can see.
Crap, it's gone now. Thankfully I saved it, so if I ever see you on msn I'll send the file to you. Or perhaps someone here could upload it to the TC FTP server?
This should work, but you need to be able to play .fmv files.

First off, that Japanese player on his site stated that he cheated by setting his ROM to 1/4th speed mode, and that he had his computer memorize the key strokes. He then sped the game and key strokes and got his time.

Second, I've become sort of obsessed with Smash Bros, and I've seen almost all of the great players in America on video, and I've seen some Japanese video. Trust me, the cruel melee videos are nothing. I'm telling you, NOTHING.

Edit: In addition, Japan's best PROBABLY are better than America's best, but not by that much. They may be more button talented, I think, but who knows. The two groups have never played, so neither side is proven to be better. Actually, I see it this way. I believe both sides are equally talented, just that the Japanese have insane foxes unlike any over here, and that they'd probably have an advantage.
Well that ruins the fun for me.
