What are your thoughts on his rape trial?

I personally think that while Kobe Bryant is a major dick and undoubtedly capable of raping a woman, I don't think he did. I think, based on the actions of the accuser, that this is a vitriolic smear attempt on Bryant. That they had sex is a given, but I truly believe it was consensual.

Anyway, I'll delve deeper soon.
She sleeped around so whatever injuries she had wouldnt have all been from Kobe.If she didnt have multiple partners more people would have believed her and she would have been alot more credible.

For all we know the two of them had a few drinks, Why would she as an employee who was actually finnished her shift go to Kobe room?Unless she was invited .

As for Kobe he is a dick head who cheated on his wife and made a fool of himself and bassically ruined his career with this stunt. The only thing good about him is atleast he has the balls to admit it but it doesnt change what he did.
Kobe's a pretty cool guy...what you don't like him because he cheated on his wife and had sex with another woman? I bet that at least half of the NBA players have done that. Travelling from city to city, partying if they feel, getting it on with a couple ladies...it's like being a rockstar except minus the drugs (for most) and rock and roll. Anyways I think he's innocent, I think once this drunk bitch realized she slept with Kobe she wanted some cash out of it because he's pretty damn rich.

Oh wait didn't she want him to sit in jai?? Hmm.... Oh and this isn't ruining his career. He's still playing MVP and Hall-of-Fame style.

No, I don't like him because he's an adulterer, and just because others do it doesn't mean it's right. Of course, I didn't like him even before this because he's an arrogant, showboating asshole. But I still don't think he raped this chick. I think the sex was consensual, and that essentially she's trying both to ruin Kobe as a person and make a ton of money.

It has done some serious damage to his career though. Sure, his ball skills might not diminish, but he's lost a lot of endorsements (as anyone knows, that's what an athlete's career REALLY is)... including Nintendo.
Hmm... not sure. I think its likely he's guilty . The story the prosecution has told seems quite convincing... I think it'd be easy for a big celebrity like that to ignore her once she said no (btw, she was invited in and went in volontarially, that isn't up to question... what is is what Kobe did once she told him to stop... haven't you read what they said happened?)... but either way, I bet that because of his celebrity he'll get off.
There was no evidence of a struggle, If achohol was involved then it was really the fault of both persons. Even if Kobe Forced her into it why didnt she try to run for it? Scream for help or try to fight back. Clearly she caved into his pressure and if thats the case then it was concensual.

As for adultery , It is a scourge to society and a villain at destroying families and it bring pain to everyone involved.
But I must say Kobe wife is staying by her man for some 30 million bucks she does not look like the betrayed house wife.
No. Legally, if someone says 'no' and the other person continues against their will then its rape... period. "she didn't fight back enough" is just another way of defending the old idea that the person who is raped is partially at fault for it... which just isn't true.
Yeah well it's easy enough to lie and say you did say 'no', which is what I believe this chick is doing. It's happened many times before ya know.
A guy on CNN was accused of rape , But in the end it was proven the women had phyciatric problems and the CNN anchor was innocent and there was no evidence to prove he did anything.

He said afterward it changed his perspective on sexual crimes trials, He said the mentality that even he had before the incident was the accused was always guilty in some way in it but his experienced proved otherwise.

But Kobe Bryant could be guilty but I dont think he truly believes he did anything wrong which is why he didnt even think of hiding clothing he wared that day and also admit he had cheated his wife.

Exactly. As well anyone knows who has ever followed a rape case, the male is almost always guilty until proven innocent. The woman's word is ALWAYS given credence over the guy's.

I too do not believe that a rape victim should share responsibility for a rape (though there are some convincing reasons to at times), I also think it's wrong for the accused to recieve the burden of proof, as almost always happens in cases of rape, this one included.
Oh, sure, it could be just a gold-digger... that's what we hope the judicial process will prove... but still, I don't know... the case against him seems somewhat convincing. But we will see.
Actually, the case against him is almost laughable... no credible witnesses, and she was bragging about laying Kobe to her co-workers and friends right afterwards. Doesn't really fit the role of the anguished victim of sexual violation so far as I know.
True, those personal issues of hers are definitely hurting her case...
Er, enough so she'll lose....and make it pretty unconvincing on her part.

I dont' know why I'm cheering for him though...I mean I don't want somebody who's innocent to serve time and all...but he's a damn good player and could put a puncture in Vince Carter's MVP year. :( (Actually scratch that, Air Canada's just too damn good)
