Square Enix revealed as part of their Tokyo Game Show line-up two new games in the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance. Though both games are due in Japan next year (with North American release dates certain to follow), very little is currently known.

Kingdom Hearts II begins one year after the original, in Twilight Town, a town perpetually shrouded in darkness. That's all we know about KHII.

And that's how much more we know than Chain of Memories. Besides the fact that it will be an RPG, probably of the action persuasion, very little has been disclosed about either title. Hopefully, TGS will shed some additional light. In the meantime, enjoy the screens below.

Famitsu got the scoop on two "new" games coming from Square Enix: Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

Both updated ports of the original late '80s RPGs, Final Fantasy is a port of the recent WonderSwan Color/PlayStation remake, while Dragon Quest harkens from the Super Famicom. Both games will be made available on cellular phones, thanks to the iMode and DoCoRo service plans.

Yay for Kingdom Hearts!

Nay for cellphone-only ports of FF and DQ!! Damn you, Square!!
And here are some screens:

Don't diss Goofy or he'll kick your arse into a crater on Mars! (He's strong, grrr!)

I suppose Square is actually honoring their contract with Bandai to only release the remakes of FF1-3 on their portable (though it doesn't stop them from releasing it on consoles *hugs Final Fantasy Origins*).
FF and DQ on cell phones but not GBA? How outrageous!
