8 cubes, splitscreen, LAN...

Now all we need is for someone to develop a LAN spoofer for this (and Kirby's Air Ride too)... :)

Its a new preview. IGN says its good... :)
That's old news...
Sure, but the preview isn't. Go read it... its got some stuff that seems new, such as the names of the first 12 tracks and some details of some of them...
I heard it's very good and that's enough for me. I want the rest to be a surprise.
Why? Its just Mario Kart...
"just" Mario Kart?? Pfft! You obviously don't know me very well if you think that Mario Kart is no big deal to me...
That's my opinion I don't care about yours, no one else's should matter at all to what I say...

Or at least that's what you said...

Anyway, to me it is just Mario Kart. Mario Kart is a quite good series, but it isn't something I get overly excited about... as far as racing games go, what I'm looking forward to most are XGRA and 1080. And maybe Kirby's Air Ride, but I don't know... it seems too simple...

Anyway, Mario Kart is looking great. I'll probably get it eventually, since kart racers are fun... just not for full price.
I said that about the topic of "what I think of DJ", stupid.

And you're looking forward to XGRA more than Mario Kart? That's just wrong.
Quote:what I'm looking forward to most are XGRA and 1080. And maybe Kirby's Air Ride

WHAT??!! You'd pick Kirby's Air Ride over Mario Kart?! I mean, sure Kirby's Air Ride looks like a game that might be pretty fun, but more fun than Mario Kart?!

...

I'm getting Mario Kart as soon as it comes out. Multiplayer kart frenzy! Woo!
Oh, Mario Kart certainly looks better than Kirby's Air Ride... I won't be getting that one soon either. I just like Kirby... and its not every day that you see a cancelled N64 launch game get remade seven years later. :)

As for XGRA... yeah, I guess I am looking forward to that more than Mario Kart. I read the reviews of the PS2 and X-Box versions and it sounds great... they added a lot of stuff from the N64 versions back into the game. The reviews actually complained about it because they all loved XG3... and sure, the fact that XGRA is slower could be called bad. But I liked XG2 more than XG3, so seeing the pace go closer to that game, having weapons pickups (and the dual-weapon system) back, handling being more like XG2, more tracks, more difficulty, etc... all good. :)

1080... I don't know. It looks great, but I don't know if I like it or Mario Kart more... maybe a bit less, but its close. 1080 on N64 is great...

Fine, so this is probably a better order. XGRA, Mario Kart, 1080, Kirby.
The biggest complaint I've heard about XGRA is that it's insanely easy.
Insanely easy? The reviews of it I've seen say its harder than XG3 was, for sure... now that's not exactly saying much, given how XG3 was ridiculously easy, but still... it IS harder. And longer, too... more races. Is it as hard as XG2? No, it doesn't look it. But its a step up from XG3... in many ways.
EGM's biggest complaint about the game was that it's way too easy, and remember that they complained about FZ GX because they thought it was way too hard. So if they think that XGRA is easy, imagine just how easy it will be for you.
Gamespot says its harder than XG3...

IGN's review (PS2) is fairly good. You read it yet?

Or gamespot.

Guess you'll have to wait and see for yourself.
Yeah. Now, objectively, Mario Kart is the best of those four upcoming games... I just really love futuristic racers, so I want XGRA. I wish it'd be great, but I'm expecting it to be good... like an improved (ie more like N64 XG) XG3. It IS just Acclaim... they don't exactly make many great games. :)
