It should be out today so is anyone gonna pick it up? Hopefully my local Gamespot has it, so if they do I'll let y'all know how much I like it.
I'm getting it, but for free to review. I probably have to wait another week or so until it arrives, however.
You lucky bastard, you! :p
I just got back from Gamestop and I've played the game for a few minutes, and not surprisingly the game is very cool. It looks, sounds, and feels just like the N64 games. I'm still not totally sure if the characters are polygonal, but I don't think they are. I think they just took single frames from the N64 models and turned those images into sprites. The result is great, and it's pretty difficult to distinguish them from the N64 models. The animations are very smooth for a GBA game.
Looks like a great adaptation of the N64 game to the GBA... I might get it eventually. :)
I might pick up the banjo some day.
i hate rare
What
Wha?
I might buy this game when I buy a GBA....again (I sold mine about five months ago, but I still have all the games).
Make sure you get an SP.
If you plan on playing it a lot and will spend the difference in batteries anytime soon.
Or if you don't plan on sitting under a lamp at all times while you play, or like to have your screen protected, or like to have a more compact version of the GBA....
The GBASP is 100x better than the regular GBA is just about everyway.

And it just looks plain cool. It's like a tiny laptop.
I have that screen cover I got in the stuff I won from E3 last year from Laser Link... :)

And what's wrong with always playing under lamps?
Handhelds are not meant to be played exclusively in well-lit rooms. They were invented so that people could play games in places where you couldn't play home consoles.
Like car trips and vacations? That's my other use for handhelsds, and the only one where a light for the system is useful... and for that I have my wormlight. Yes, the original one... its far from the perfect lighting solution, but it works just fine for the extremely limited use I make of it (as in, a couple of times a year...). And since I don't buy batteries, or if I did play GB enough to drain them very quickly (one set generally lasts months...)...

It just wouldn't have been worth the additional $40 for the things you get.
